EDI:
The system can accommodate any EDI transaction set, whether you are using ANSI X12, the North American standard or EDIFACT, the world wide standard, to TCG it makes no difference. All transactions are integrated right into the system and run transparent to the user. When an inbound or outbound transaction is captured via EDI, it simply the populates the corresponding TCG screens just as if someone had typed it in. Once the EDI process has been activated, EDI transactions are processed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without any intervention.

ARCHITECTURE:
The TCG architecture consists of a Sybase SQL Anywhere database running on a Windows NT server. PowerBuilder is the front end of the application running on the user's PC having Windows 3.11 ,Windows 95, or Windows NT workstation as its operating system. The two products work hand in hand ( Sybase & Powerbuilder) and offer the user quick and accurate responses. Customers that adopt host based systems have only purchased an inventory system, with no other benefits to the company. Adopting client server architecture you are supplying and inventory/management system, as well as PC's that do other functions (i.e. spreadsheets, word processing), a network that is able to send / receive mail, and finally a gateway to the internet to name a few. With all these benefits, it is no wonder why large companies that develop Inventory/management packages are making the switch to client server architecture.

PORTABILITY:
Sybase SQL Anywhere is the database powering TCG, but TCG does not need to have Sybase SQL to communicate. TCG will communicate with any other database (ie. Microsoft SQL or Oracle) with no effect on the system.

REMOTE ACCESS SERVICE (RAS) is a breakthrough in customer service.

In the past if a customer wanted information about their inventory they would have to wait for it to be faxed to them or call the warehouse. This was not only time consuming for the customer but also frustrating. With RAS customers can now QUICKLY and EASILY view reports, print reports and enter orders all from the convenience of their desk.

With Remote Access Service the customer has all their product information at their fingertips. It's quick and easy to use and eliminates second guessing of product information. Now customers have the extra control and comfort knowing their inventory information is a click away!
